Diffusion of Innovations
New ideas and approaches (innovations) are constantly being developed, and whether or not they are effectively incorporated into management depends on a number of factors that have been outlined within a framework known as diffusion of innovations theory. The theory emerged from explanations of how farmers adopted new technologies and practices, and has evolved into a field of research that has broad application for a wide variety of disciplines.
