Historic Structures

Our National Parks are known for a variety of reasons from natural features to our cultural heritage. They also contain buildings and other structures that are valued because of their association with the history of the park or of the area, often from before it became a park. They include National Historic Landmarks and other sites on the National Register of Historic Places. Maintaining these structures in good condition and making appropriate use of them where possible is an important part of cultural resource management for these park units.
