Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument

Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is one of the most biologically diverse protected areas in the U.S. Sonoran Desert, providing habitat for a highly varied flora and fauna, including threatened, endangered, and sensitive plant and animal species. The park contains 90% of organ pipe cacti in the U.S., as well as endemic species and others that have limited distributions in the U.S. or even the world. As a protected area, Organ Pipe Cactus NM allows the life of the Sonoran Desert to flourish under nearly ideal wilderness conditions; 95% of this 330,828-acre park is designated wilderness.
